Ah! Jag har precis varit på konsert i Matteuskyrkan vid Odenplan. Så himla avkopplande och skön syssla på en söndag. Det var lite blandad musik, allt från Vivaldi, schubert, Rachmanninov och en kompositör jag har en hatkärlek till – Wienawskij. När jag spelade, många år sen nu, hade jag just Wienawskij som jag spelade på audition. Så, mycket fin musik som jag idag kan njuta av men det kommer många minnen som har mycket prestationsångest inblandat.
Efter konserten samlades vi alla upp (då det är mina vänner) för ”musikgodis”. Haha!
Nu ska jag bara njuta av denna söndagskväll med att bara ta det lugnt hemma själv!

New Year’s used to be a time for promises – to train more, eat less, and ‘be better.’ At the same time, I was doing everything I could to keep my blood sugar in range, constantly battling the impossible combination of an eating disorder and type 1 diabetes. It was devastating.
At my worst, I was hospitalized to free myself from my eating disorder. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but also the most important.
Today, I train because I love my body – not because I hate it. I train to feel strong. I’ve also managed to sustain a great A1C, proving that balance and recovery are possible.
Eating disorders are a real and serious issue, but it is possible to break free. It’s possible to become strong, to find balance, and to truly live again.
There is a mini-you inside, full of dreams and hopes! Don’t let diabetes take that away from you ❤️
