Muffins-kampanjen
Varje år får 900 barn diagnosen typ 1-diabetes i Sverige. Ingen vet varför och tyvärr finns det inget botemedel. Det finns underbara organisationer som arbetar hårt för att underlätta att leva med T1D. Jag är stolt över att vara styrelsemedlem och engagerad i Barndiabetesfonden där alla insamlade pengar doneras till typ 1-diabetesforskning.
Varför vissa människor utvecklar typ 1 diabetes är fortfarande inte klart. Forskningen har inte hittat något samband mellan matvanor och livsstil.
Muffins har blivit en populär symbol i typ 1 diabetes community för att informera samhället om att ”det inte var sockret som orsakade min typ 1 diabetes”.
Detta är en av våra kampanjer vi har, tillsammans med ICA, där vi för varje såld muffin donerar 1 krona till typ 1 diabetes-forskning.
Myten om att du utvecklar typ 1 diabetes från att äta för mycket socker eller äta fel kost cirkulerar fortfarande och det är viktigt att vi tillsammans ändrar på det. Med ökad kunskap kan vi göra en skillnad för människor som lever med sjukdomen världen över! 💙
Every year 900 children are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in Sweden. No one knows why and unfortunately there is no cure. There are wonderful organizations working hard to make living with T1D easier. I am proud to be a board member of The Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation in Sweden where all money raised is donated to type 1 diabetes research.
Why some people develop type 1 diabetes is still not clear. The research hasn’t found any connection between eating habits and lifestyle.
The myth that you develop type 1 diabetes from eating too much sugar or eating the wrong diet still circulates and it is important to change this! With increased knowledge, we can make a difference for people who are living with the disease worldwide! 💙
Muffins have become a popular symbol in the type 1 diabetes community to inform the community that “it was not the sugar that caused my type 1 diabetes”.
This is one of our campaigns we have, together with ICA, where for every muffin sold we donate 1 sek to type 1 diabetes research.
